Here is the kitchen and living room in our house. Marta, the mother, is a researcher on nutrition and breastfeeding. She also researches foods and diabetes, as diabetes is prominent amongst Latinos. She also recently researched the dynamic of Mexicans going to the States and working and sending money back to Mexico. She said our economic problems have trickled down and hurt the economy here in Mexico. She said most people use the money from, say, the field workers in the states(that they send to Mexico) to live in houses instead of shacks, but others still live in shacks but their kids have TV's and Playstations. She said she's still researching this dynamic.
